College Prep Coaching & Recruiting Service is a culmination of years of research and development on and off the baseball field. Olen Parker, founder and CEO is a former Division I baseball coach and a long time youth sports director. As a coach Olen knows there are pertinent steps and preparation that must be taken to become a college baseball player. His past experiences and knowledge of the NCAA requirements will make the transition a comfortable and obtainable goal. Coach Olen’s goal is to cover all the bases with players and parents utilizing his coaching and recruiting expertise to set a clear path for player development and when the time is right, outline and provide a road map for the college recruiting process.  He can’t guarantee you a scholarship or a spot on the roster, but he will guarantee you that if you have the talent, no one will work harder to prepare you for college ball, than College Prep Coaching and Recruiting Services.

Meet Our Team

Olen Parker

Coach OP was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. A former three sport athlete at St. Augustine High School. After high school OP went on to graduate from Grambling State University, where he led the baseball team in fielding percentages and stolen bases. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies and played 3 seasons of professional baseball. After his professional career ended he came to Dallas, and has spent over 20 years coaching athletes at all levels. Coach OP has also been a Major League Baseball scout with the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets. He also served as an Assistant Coach for the Louisiana Tech University and Grambling State University baseball teams. He has also devoted extensive time over the years to coaching young athletes, from young children just picking up the game to elite high school athletes looking for a college scholarship or to improve their draft ranking. He has coached many players who ultimately reached the college level and numerous have been drafted to Major League Baseball teams. OP has unmatched baseball experience and numerous connections in the world of baseball.  He is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association since 2006.   Coach OP is also passionate about kids and has a unique ability to inspire his athletes to be their best while making the game fun.  Coach Parker is available for expert training and development by appointment, he can be reached at 214-402-1465.

Calvin Jones

Coach Jones is from California and after high school attended the University of California, Riverside, where he played college baseball for the Highlanders from 1982–1983. Coach Jones was the Number One Draft pick in the 1st round of the 1984 MLB Draft. Coach Jones was a Major League Pitcher for the Mariners, Rockies and Indians. Coach Jones ended his professional pitching career with the Dodgers and then went to be a Scout for the Dodgers Organization. Coach Jones is responsible for drafting Clayton Kershaw and many other notable big leaguers. Coach Jones has privately trained and developed many of the MLB star players in the game today.
